My name is Thomas O'Neill and I am a retired NYC Firefighter due to injuries sustained at the World Trade Center. I just wanted to reach out and let you know that the O'Neill's wish you all the best with little Clark.
Having a premie son born in 2003,(my son is a post 9-11 baby) spend the first month of his life in the NICU, I can certainly relate to those sleepless nights. Clark is an unbelievable gift, something I can appreciate. My wife worked for Morgan Stanley on the 71st floor in the WTC on 9/11 and escaped unharmed. She was home with my first born and not due back to work until 10/01/01. A blessing for sure. I consider myself very fortunate to be here today to wish you well.
I enjoyed your movie "White Squall" and became an instant fan. Understand that I am 5'6" tall and had to fight hard in 1998 to get to be a proud member of the FDNY. With common stereotypes, we both had to scratch & claw our way to get what we wanted most.
You have a beautiful family and I wish you all the best. I also just had a baby girl on 3/11/10 so it seems we are both blessed my brother. Even though we have never met, our enormous hearts are in stark contrast to the size of our bodies.
Good things truly come in small packages.
I am not only a fan... I remain a NYC Firefighter at heart so if you ever need anything on the east coast, please reach out. We have your back.
