Look at my little man, all comfy and cozy on his Momma. His Daddy likes to sleep on his tummy, arms tucked under...just like that! Yay! Makes you wonder how many other traits he will adapt from us.
I already sense him as an overachiever, like his Mom (hope hope). Addressing the recent bouts with the acid reflux, the way I see it, he's 'adapting'. At the beginning of his heavy feeds, he would desat a lot. Even brady. The reflux was, I'm sure, an exhaustive battle; but like the fierce warrior Clark is, he's learned the weaknesses of his adversary and is coming close to winning this particular combat.
The last few days have been rather quiet. Hope our lack of posts haven't caused concern. It's safe to say that if you check in on the Chronicles and there's a few days without posts, 'no news, is good news'.
Clark is continuing to gain weight! Yes! Up to 3 pounds 5 ounces. He digests his feeds, which are up to 28ccs. Still has the reflux, but like I mentioned, seems to be dealing well.
The highlight of these two days was watching Clark experience non-nutritive with Christy. We decided to keep these moments private, so I will not elaborate nor show pictures (perhaps at a later date), except just to say...seeing a baby root onto his mother is the kinda stuff that's synonymous with dreams, glitter, rainbows, happy, HEARTBEAMS, puppies, and whimsy!
I will say this. Clark absolutely LOVES this time with Momma. He's clearly enjoying himself, alert, playful, and full of interest. I stare with amour, fascination, and pride.
Well, would love to stay and chat...but it's time for Daddy to get some skin to skin!
Ciao!
