SO IN LOVE

with this guy...
He's like..."yo, what's up everybody"

He is doing great...except for his reflux which keeps him up pretty much all night because he cannot lie on his back and of course that is the only way he can sleep unsupervised. We have taken the wheels off this cradle so it rests at an angle...we have put blankets and wedges under his mattress...we hold him upright for 30 minutes after feeding him...all to no avail. He does great on his belly, so we usually end up with him on our chest or in the position above which works nicely too. Also, the constipation doesn't help matters...as everything gets backed up. The docs say he will outgrow it...we are so looking forward to that...poor thing.

He did however take a huge poop without any help yesterday...AMAZING how excited we were about that. Especially since we needed enough to take in for testing...and Clark O delivered. We were giddy. Yep, we're parents alright.

My mama (Clark's Nana) is coming on Saturday for a few weeks...we are super excited for her to get here and meet her grandson...and so is she! Technically, she has met him when he was first born but now she will really get to meet him, hold him and get to know him. She has been waiting a LONG time for me to have a baby. She is such a good Nana (my brother has 3 kids)...Clark is going to LOVE her.

We have been spending lots of time outside when it is warm as that is super good for him. We do look forward to taking Clark out and about-even if just to the farmer's market. The only outings so far have been to his doctor appointments. We have had some visitors but the main things is no public places, no sick people, no people who have been around sick people and no kids...at least for another few weeks.

Molly is trying to figure Clark out...she is such a sweet dog...she is very careful around Clark...tip toeing up to him to take a sniff, lying nearby but not too close and jumping up and away when Clark cries...so cute. We are making sure to give her lots of attention so she knows she is still loved very much.

Jason and I are loopy, in love and just over the moon happy to have our little family together.

  2. Yup.... happy and excited over poop..... gotta be a parent thing...:-) I am so happy for you and Jason. Have I mentioned that I can't wait to meet Clark?? I assume one of his first public outings will be to YogaBlend?? I know that's gonna be a bit off... but still would love to somehow meet him before that if possible. If y'all ever need anything, just holler. I think I may actually be just over the hill from you.

    XOXOXOXO

  3. Lots of babies have to be in that upright position for awhile when they are little. We had a wedge under the cradle mattress for quite a long time for both Dani and Josh! Give him some more time, he'll get the hang of the pooping thing and master the reflux issue, as well. And when you are happy about poop, you know it's true love! I know your mom is going to have the most wonderful time with all of you. To get to hold her grandson will be a pure heaven. We are so happy for all of you. By the way, how much does Clark weigh now and how long is he? I may have to return a couple of things! He looks so fantastic and it seems he is growing very quickly now. Your family is perfect and so loved by all! All our love to you, Jason and Clark!

  4. I have a mommy friend who's son has AWFUL reflux and she swears by a Tucker Sling. It's a big wedge with a pocket you put baby in to keep him from rolling. Their doc ok'd him sleeping on his belly in it. xo
